- Place three pieces of pepperoni diagonally on top of an egg roll wrapper. Place a piece of room-temperature string cheese on top.
- Fold corners over cheese, then fold bottom corner over cheese and pepperoni and continue rolling tightly until cheese is sealed. Moisten corners with water to seal completely.
- Repeat with remaining wrappers, cheese, and pepperoni to make 12 pizza sticks total.
- In a heavy skillet or pot, heat oil to 350 degrees F.
- Fry sticks a few at a time for 45-60 seconds on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Serve immediately with warm pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
Use room temperature cheese for even melting. Don't overcrowd the pan when frying. Keep oil temperature at 350°F for best results. Serve immediately for maximum crispiness. Can be made ahead and refrigerated up to 24 hours before frying.
