Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, ends trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wash and thoroughly dry the green beans, then trim the ends.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the green beans with olive oil, ensuring they're evenly coated.
  4. Add minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika (if using) to the bowl and toss again.
  5. Spread the green beans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Roast for 12-15 minutes, or until the beans are tender and slightly crispy around the edges.
  7. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese and drizzle with fresh lemon juice.
  8. Toss gently to combine and serve warm.

Notes

For the crispiest results, make sure green beans are completely dry before tossing with oil. Don't overcrowd the baking sheet. Broil for last 1-2 minutes for extra crispy edges. Can be prepared ahead and refrigerated before roasting.
